A few days ago Sony Xperia support member Rickard, said that a new firmware bug fixing update 6.2.B.1.XX is about to be rolled on Xperia S, SL, Acro S. Now just now we have spotted a firmware with same build pattern.

PTCRB certified Xperia S,SL,Acro S 6.2.B.1.96 firmware – Bugs Fixing Update

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean 6.2.B.1.96 firmware has been spotted now for Xperia SL LT26ii and same firmware is obviously expected for Xperia S LT26i and Acro S LT26w.

  • Android Version – 4.1.2
  • Baseband version – 8660-AAABQOLYM-314010-39
  • Kernel Version – 3.4.0
  • Build Number – 6.2.B.1.96

Baseband version has been changed as compared to previous 6.2.B.0.211 firmware and kernel is also expected to be changed.

Tipster also states that 6.2.B.1.96 firmware will be certified on PTCRB with a few weeks and may be rolled at the end of August, No ETA till now.

Tipster at GFAN also confirms that 6.2.B.1.96 firmware update will be fixing some of the major bugs.

P.S. Before accusing us from where got the changelog, Post source has been added at bottom, do check it. Below listing is based on it.

  • 1080p Full HD video recording lag fixed.
  • Purplish tint in photos due to unbalance white mode is fixed.
  • Pressing Home button now releases Google Now.
  • Double tapping the home button opens recently opened programs.
  • Bug with Volume up and down buttons fixed.
  • 2G Data connectivity fixed.

Many other bugs will also be fixed. We are wandering whether Wi-Fi bug and batter drain bug will be fixed or not ? Let’s see…

No 6.2.B.1.96 firmware ftf has been leaked, just the screenshot only so don’t ask it please. It may not take long to get his 6.2.B.1.96 firmware or another firmware on same build pattern to get out for Xperia S, SL and Acro S, What’s you take on this Xperia S users, are you happy now…please let us know in comments section…

      very very less chances…I remember once Sony Xperia support quoted…Stamina Mode not meant for XS.
