Just upgrade today 31/10 thru PC Companion. No more “xperia with facebook™” (or twitter) where previously i can sync birthday & events from my fb to my calendar. Right after upgrade I wondering why I don’t have data access. I nearly reset to factory setting but then I found in Setting/xperia™/internet setting – need to download the setting from ur carrier first. I like the font rendering – bolder & clearer. But still boring homescreen and I miss the calculator & notes in small app

What do you think what users are for ? Users tell them bugs and then they release firmware updates as every user have different bugs

Apart from the all good stuffs, I have noticed few issues on my newly updated L and would like to share.

    # if you have moved an app to internal storage, after a boot it will jump to the very last of the app tray and any shortcut of that particular app will not exist on a folder.
this happens to be an very annoying issue to me.

    # latest Walkman has a great renovated interface but it lacks a very basic feature, which is “recently added” under playlists menu. this feature had always been with “Walkman(and with music player on ’11 devices)” and i don’t get any clue why Sony has deducted it.
apart from it, total songs/album/artist count is missing which previously was there within each box.

    # while playing a song with Walkman, album art of a random song looks blurry which actually is not. I’ve cleared Walkman data as well as media storage data which fixes it for a while but this same thing happens again with a new track.

there is new update available for walkman(around 13.5 mb) U can check that it had all bugs fixed.

i like the new UI and improvement in battery life. but the worse part is the phone keep restarting again and again, even im not using it. thats so ridiculous

  22. Ivan November 13, 2013 at 3:14 am - Reply

Wifi can be switched on only after restart, but later connection disappears. Later the switch doesn’t even work to enable wifi. Can’t say anything good about battery time/speed, same as before.

Xperia L C2105. After upgrade I was pretty happy with the new UI and especially with the keyboard. Before the upgrade I hated typing anything with this phone. Two days since the update and I have been experiencing some weird reboots and crashes when pressing on the wake-up button on the right side. And now the tethering/hotspot option doesn’t work anymore. Computer gets an ip from the phone but it seems that there is a routing issue as it can’t ping anything. This extremely annoying .The phones itself can connect to the internet through wifi or 3g.

And the movies app now sucks. How could this happen? It went from pretty good to very very bad.

Well i’ve updated my Xperia L’s firmware to this version. Overall, it is a good update. But i’ve just noticed one disturbing bug in my phone within this update. If my RAM is overloaded (somewhere 50-60% or doing at least 2-3 screens of multitasking) somehow the phone restart and rebooting by itself.. Well i’m not sure if overloaded RAM is the cause, but i never experienced this kind of bug in the previous firmware.. Everything ran good even if i did the multitasking or the RAM is overloaded.. I’ve tried to do the soft reset and somehow it is still appearing.. Will try to repair the update via PC Companion, though.. If it’s not working, i will try the hard reset.. If it still happens, well, i must bring it to the service centre nevertheless.. 🙁

Hi, Xperia L C2105 here. After the update to 4.2.2 got some stability issues: random restarts; some app crashes; some new app version updates don’t even run anymore (Chrome for instance).
