As android 4.4 plans for Xperia devices confirmed by Sony just now stating that Xperia Z, ZL, Z Ultra, Z1 and Tablet Z are the first batch of devices which will get android 4.3 KitKat update soon, though no ETA is given. As Sony promised earlier about rolling android 4.3 jelly bean update soon, here comes the official news.

Sony Mobile has just now confirmed that Android 4.3 Coming in December on Xperia Z1, Z Ultra, Z, ZL, ZR, Tablet Z, SP. As Sony said that some devices will be updated directly from android 4.1.2 to android 4.3 so the next batch of devices getting android 4.3 will be Xperia T, TX and Xperia V. Though it is a big deal if see android 4.3 coming for all above mentioned devices in December only.

Sony Mobile quotes Android 4.3 update info on their blog :-

We’re pleased to tell you that we’ll start rolling Android 4.3 for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 from next month*.  

We also mentioned that a few of our products would be jumping software version – so, we can confirm that Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V* will be upgraded to Android Jelly Bean 4.3… also from next month.

    4.4 is welcom on my Z1 but in all honesty the Z1 is snappy enough. Don’t get me wrong i want kitkat for even more oumph, but i sincerely hope that kitkat is also coming to the somewhat older divices or devices with lower specs. That would be an awesome thing for Sony to do. Problem is a company wants to sell and make money. With lower spec

      ( shame there is no modify option here ) but with lower specs you have to buy a new one, or just use custom roms.
