A new 17.1.A.2.49 firmware has been spotted for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet on PTCRB which is as we all know is android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Recently we have seen so many firmwares getting certified for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet which clearly indicates Sony is polishing the firmware for retail release of both devices globally.
17.1.A.2.49 firmware is certified for Xperia Z2 D6503 and D6502 and for Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP521 and SGP541 on PTCRB. Previously we have seen 17.1.A.2.36 firmware, 17.1.A.1.2 firmware, 17.1.A.0.504 firmware and 17.1.A.0.391 firmware getting certified on PTCRB.
Firmware ftfs for many firmwares have been leaked and developers have already ported Xperia Z2 apps from it for other Xperia devices.

Sony has already started shipping Xperia Z2 Tablet while Xperia Z2 has not been shipped yet, it is still unclear which final version we will see getting launched on Xperia Z2.
