Xperia L 15.3.A.1.17 firmware certified on PTCRB

A few days back we saw Xperia L Orange carrier users in Europe getting 15.3.A.1.16 firmware update on their handsets while it was not spotted on global variants of Xperia L. Last update spotted on global Xperia L variants was 15.3.A.1.14 firmware which was a bug fixing update over android 4.2.2 update. A new 15.3.A.1.17 firmware has been certified on PTCRB for Xperia L.

15.3.A.1.17 firmware seems a minor bug fixing update and should be available on global variants of Xperia L soon seeing 15.3.A.1.16 firmware rolled on Xperia L Orange carrier users. Xperia L is on android 4.2.2 at present and it is not clear yet whether Sony has any plans to roll KitKat android 4.4.2 for it or not.

We have seen Sony rolling android 4.3 for Xperia M and Xperia M Dual while Xperia L is still kept away from it. It seems now that Xperia L may see KitKat directly whenever it has to come.
