Sony has officially released Xperia Z2 Tablet in market and many users have now got it in their hands already, just like we saw Xperia Z2 getting root a few days back before it was officially released in market, Xperia Z2 Tablet has now also got root and CWM recovery can be installed. Latest firmware for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet is 17.1.A.2.55 firmware which was recently spotted on PTCRB for both devices but rolled for Xperia Z2 yet.
XDA legend DooMLoRD has posted a method to root Xperia Z2 Tablet and installing ClockworkMod recovery on it. You need to unlock the bootloader of your Xperia Z2 Tablet before proceeding so make sure you do that and backup your TA partition before unlocking bootloader of you will loose your DRM keys. Kindly check the prerequisites before rooting your Xperia Z2 Tablet. CWM recovery version is 6.0.4.6.
- Must be on 17.1.A.2.36 firmware – v01.
- Working for Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP511 Wi-Fi version.
- Bootloader Unlocked.
- Working FastBoot.
