Sony Xperia SP ( huashan ), the forgotten handset from Sony which is still on android 4.3 and no confirmation is there yet from Sony when it will roll android 4.4.2 KitKat update for it. CyanogenMod team has come up with CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies android 4.4.3 build for Xperia SP officially, not the stable one but the first build from CM team.
CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies for Xperia SP allows you to install android 4.4.3 ROM on your Xperia SP after unlocking the bootloader of handset. Keep in mind unlocking bootloader voids warranty so make sure you backup your DRM keys before you do that. If you don’t want to wait for Sony’s official update to android 4.4.2 then you can go with CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies for the time being.

Q.1) Suppose I install this ROM now and by any chance if SONY officially release 4.4.2 am I able to get official 4.4.2 from SUS or I had to stick with manual installations forever?
Q.2) Since this is a official CyanogenMod Nightlies which means we can expect a stable version soon?
Ans#2 – Yes you can expect more stable version very soon from CM team.
Ans#1 Yes you will be able to install the official Sony 4.2.2 ROM even after unlocking the bootloader. But if you installed CM11 and then you need to manually install the Sony 4.2.2 ftf via flashtool and then you will be able to get updates via PCC.
I´ve been trying the last 3 nightlies, And so far I’ve had a very mediocre experience. Some things are faster, like opening an app, but after pressing home there is a horrendous lag. Kind of like a redraw, even with a lot of free RAM. Does this happen to anyone else? Also on rare occasions the phone freezes completely and I have to restart it manually. I really want Kitkat on my SP, hopefully CM will release something stable, I do not see Sony doing it any time soon.
Installed CM 4.4.2 update and immediately uninstalled it. Xperia sp is not the device for such a retarding ROM.
