17.1.1.A.0.438 firmware was certified for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet in mid June on PTCRB and now it seems 17.1.1.A.0.438 firmware has started hitting Xperia Z2 in South East Asia region as reported by an user at XDA. At present Xperia Z2 users are suffering from many issues like overheating, touch response issues, laggy camera in 4K mode.

17.1.1.A.0.438 firmware update improves tap to wake up feature which was not working properly previously and 4K video recording is still overheating as reported. No other major changes are noticed in the 17.1.1.A.0.438 firmware update. It seems currently 17.1.1.A.0.438 firmware is seeding and users will be getting it soon globally.

    Seriously, overheating is a big issue, especially in summers here in India.

      Did not you get a firmware update which according with Sony would fix that problem?

      I have received an update acouple days ago, since the camera still overheating but at leats it does not shut down anymore
