Xperia M2 Aqua & Dual 18.3.1.C.0.21 firmware open source build released by Sony – Is it android 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 ?

Sony has released an unidentified 18.3.1.C.0.21 firmware open source build for Xperia M2 Aqua & Dual for developers which may bring android 4.4.3 or android 4.4.4. At present Sony has updated whole Xperia “Z” series on android 4.4.4 version while Xperia T2 Ultra & Dual is on android 4.4.3.

It seems that 18.3.1.C.0.21 firmware will bring android 4.4.3 on Xperia M2, if this build is android 4.4.4 then it will be a great surprise for the users but it is least expected for the time being.

18.3.1.C.0.21 firmware open source build is available for download for Xperia M2 (D2302, D2303, D2305, D2306, and S50h) and Xperia M2 Aqua  (D2403 and D2406).

Kindly keep in mind that open source build is not firmware ftf so it can’t be flashed on your device in any case.

We are hoping Sony will soon release 18.3.1.C.0.21 firmware update for Xperia M2. One of the special feature of android 4.4.3 on Xperia T2 Ultra was “transfer data to SD card”, we can expect the same for Xperia M2 also.
