Install Xperia Lollipop Keyboard 6.6.B.0.11 from Xperia Z3 Android 5.0.2 update with emojis

Earlier today Sony rolled Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact in form of 23.1.A.0.690 firmware which brought new features like material design UI with new Xperia Themes and wallpapers, multi-user support, apps to sd card feature etc.

Sony’s stock and media apps have been updated to the new version and Xperia Keyboard 6.6.B.0.11 version is now available for installation on rooted handsets running Android Lollipop ROMs like CM12/AOSP 5.x.x/STOCK ROM and on Xperia handsets with Android 4.x (working with 4.4.4, compatibility with others unknown)

New Xperia Keyboard 6.6.B.0.11 is fast and has 3 colors theme as usual.

Instructions: Download the flashable zip. Flash in recovery. Do backup your original keyboard before flashing.

NOTE: If flashable zip is not working on your device try the manual installation.

For Lollipop ROMs use the below link to download. To manually install, extract the downloaded zip file, put “textinput-tng.apk” file in system/app folder, set permissions rw- r– r– and reboot.

For 4.x+ ROMs use the below link to download. To manually install, extract the downloaded zip file, put “textinput-tng.apk” file in system/app folder, set permissions rw- r– r– and put “libswiftkeysdk-java.so” file system/lib, set permissions rw- r– r– and reboot.
