Yesterday Sony rolled Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact in form of 23.1.A.0.690 firmware build and now Android 5.0.2 is officially rolling on Xperia Z2 also. Sony has updated the same 23.1.A.0.690 firmware build on Xperia Z2 also.
Android 5.0.2 update on Xperia Z2 is confirmed rolling in Nordics & Baltic regions, specifically confirmed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark. It features old 3.4.0 Linux kernel. Update is confirmed on Xperia Z2 LTE D6503 variants, not seen on HSPA+ D6502 variants yet.

yes you can mate, but you will get additional lte/4g settings in mobile network which won't work.

It is for Xperia Z1, same steps goes for all 2013 2014 2015 Xperia devices.

There would a step come where it will ask you to wipe the full data of your phone, which one must do...so backup all your content first.
Can I use this on D6502 variant? And my device D6503 is not bootloader unloacked.. Is there any need to do that
works on unlocked bootloader also.
You can use in D6502 but it will give you additional LTE settings which won't work. Using it or not is your choice.

LTE means 4g mate, you won't able to use 4g on D6502 because it is not meant for 4G, it can only use till 3G. Yes you can use 3G or HSPA+ after flashing this rom. But flashing or not is your choice only.
Flashing LTR ROM just give you additional settings which is of no use practically.

SONY , U HAVE disappointed US WITH THIS LOLLIPOP UPDATE. BATTERY IS DRAINING VERY VERY FAST. SINCE 2 DAYS I AM USING AND SEEING THE DIFFERENCE IN BATTERY DROP.... ANDROID 4.4.4 WAS 100 TIMES BETTER IN THE TERMS OF BATTERY. PLEASE RESOLVE THIS BATTERY DRAINING ISSUE SOON VIA NEW UPDATE SONY. PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Hello Anurag, i have flashed D6503 on D6502. i came to see two issues. 1. No Signal
2. Its taking time to shut and this is seen in case of 4.4.4 version time also.
Please post a solution for this.
Guna, I have the same problem, I even tried with nordic generic, and nothing changed, no baseband version, no signal, and it doesnt shut down too... I guess i will have to go back to kitkat until comes out for d6502...
