Sony has now put its Walkman app on Play Store (8.5.A.3.3 version) whereas Xperia Music app beta version is available for download which will replace Sony Walkman app in future. Today Sony Xperia Music app has been updated to newer 9.0.0.A.2.0beta version over older 9.0.0.A.1.2beta version.
Xperia Music 9.0.0.A.2.0beta app update brings new full player, play queue option added in menu drawer, new context menu icon, widget stays in the notification after pause (swipe to dismiss in Android 5.0 Lollipop).

Download Xperia Music 9.0.0.A.2.0beta apk from below link (update is still not available in Play Store). While installing this app, you will get notification from Sony that they are changing the new of Walkman app to “Music” now officially.

i use walkman App most of the time, and from time to tiem, i also use jetaudio music player
if i install Xperia Music App, it will go on as a different App and i still can use walkman? or Xperia Music replaces Walman App?

I feel some how that the player is a bit disintegrated. Since lollipop now has ART shouldn’t the fluidity increase. They should rather come up with fully new UI for Walkman as we are bored with boxes. Its less minimalist more boxes. What’s wrong with Sony team. Guys come on give us something that nobody has seen before. Not some purple boxes.
