Sony has been introducing charing dock for its Xperia smartphones since Xperia Z Ultra was launched. Earlier Sony used to have charging docks with magnetic pins but now Sony has introduced capless micro USB port in its latest flagship devices like Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z5 which in turn means micro USB charging dock in usage.

Sony DK52 micro USB charging dock works well with Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z5. It is priced at $38.99 at Mobile Fun UK, shipping worldwide. It is only available in black color.

Compatibility

It is compatible with Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra.

Charging Time

It depends on the output power of the charger you are using. Charing with quick charger UCH10 is extremely fast.

We tried using Sony DK52 dock with SCR42 case on for Xperia Z5 and it works very well. Though it works more easily when the front flap of case is opened. You may need to use the wide width adapter while case is on.

Cons

Nothing much, just be careful while putting your Xperia Z5 inside dock, otherwise it may fall down and your device is damaged. There is no AC adapter provided with dock, so you have to use your own.
