Google announces Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro powered with Google Tensor SoC

Google has officially provided a sneak peek over its social media handles about the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro powered with customized in-house built Google Tensor SoC, specifically designed for Pixel Smartphones. Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will come in three color combos later this year.

Google has taken a moment to introduce their first smartphone chipset as Tensor SoC. As mentioned by Google, Tensor SoC can process Google’s most powerful AI and ML models directly on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

Google Pixel 6 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7″ QHD+ Display (120 HZ refresh rate) whereas Pixel 6 is expected to feature 6.4″ FHD+ Display (90 HZ refresh rate).

Pixel 6

The device with less space above the camera bar is Google Pixel 6. As shown in the pic below, Pixel 6 will have only 2 camera modules.

Pixel 6 Pro

The device with more space above the camera bar is Google Pixel 6 Pro. As shown in the pic below, Pixel 6 Pro will have 3 cameras modules, including a telephoto lens with a 4x optical zoom.

Google has again brought camera sensors on bump somewhat similar to what Nexus 6P has.
