T-Mobile Xperia Z3 23.1.C.0.385 Lollipop update rolling

T-Mobile Xperia Z3 D6616 users in USA are now receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in-the form of 23.1.C.0.385 firmware build. Earlier Sony rolled 14.5.B.0.236firmware (Android Lollipop) update on T-Mobile Xperia Z1s in USA.

23.1.C.0.385 firmware update is rolling via both OTA and PC Companion. It is also live via XperiFirm tool. 23.1.C.0.385 firmware OTA update size is 621 MB.

Sony’s latest Xperia Z3+ is a rebranded name for (for global users) Xperia Z4 and an upgraded smartphone over Xperia Z3. Xperia Z3+ features capless USB port, has no magnetic charging slot and has only 1 flap as compared to Xperia Z3 but is identical to Xperia Z4 in terms of specs and design.

Xperia Z3+ features Snapdragon 810 64 bit Octa core processor (2 GHz) with 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage (with micro SD card support). New mysterious Xperia smartphone has FCC ID PY7-PM0841 and mobile network FDD-LTE 2600 (B7) / 1900 (B2) / 1700 (B4) / 850 (B5) / 700 (B13) MHz, W-CDMA 1900 (II) / 850 (V) MHz, CDMA2000 1900 (BC1 ) / 800 (BC0) MHz, it’s certified in GSM 1900/850 MHz.

Xperia Z2 23.2.A.1.62 firmware update rolling

Xperia Z2 23.2.A.1.62 firmware update is now rolling but only on limited carriers like T-Mobile AT, Telekom.de, Cosmote in regions like Austria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Netherlands, Poland, and Slovak Republic. This build has already been rolled on Xperia “Z3” series.

23.2.A.1.62 firmware was certified for both Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet and now also rolling on Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP521 on the same carriers. It is not clear for the time being whether this update will hit global variants of Xperia Z2 series or not.

Sony has now rolled Android Lollipop 5.0.2 update on all the devices it mentioned earlier. For all those users who think that the headset sound in their Xperia is not enough, now you can try Dolby Digital+ and Beat Sound Mod for Xperia Lollipop devices.

Dolby Digital+ and Beat Sound Mod will increase the bass in headphone mode and sound quality is great as per the testers. Remember this mod is only for headphones, not for speakers. It works on rooted Xperia devices with custom recovery installed.

Sony Paper Puppets AR Effect Theme launched

Sony has officially released a new AR Effect Camera app theme viz. Paper Puppets on Play store today. Paper Puppets theme allows you to add lots of paper characters on the pictures and videos you shoot. You can also add stickers created from Sony Sticker Creator app.

You need version v3.3.13 of AR Effect App or the higher one (get AR Effect app here) to install the Paper Puppets AR Effect theme. App will only work with Sony Social Smart Camera app installed on Xperia devices running Android 4.3+.

As you all know Xperia Z3+ system dump is now available for download and developers have started working on porting Xperia Z3+ apps. A new live wallpaper was spotted running on Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 and now it is available for download.

You need rooted Xperia handset running Android Lollipop version to install the Xperia Z3+ live wallpaper. Users with custom recovery installed and SuperUser Mod can directly flash the zip file.

Google announced Android M developer preview at Google I/O 2015 and now its developer preview images are available for Nexus devices. Those users who have already installed Android M are posting about Android M’s Easter egg and it is trending now, let’s see why.

Google released Android M developer preview a day back and as soon as its developer preview images for Nexus devices got out, various Android M apps have been ported for Lollipop running Android devices.

Earlier today we shared Android M launcher and official Android M camera app from preview images and now we are sharing the official Android M wallpaper and the clock. For the time being only 1 Android M wallpaper was present in the preview images.

Xperia Z3+ System Dump Available from Lollipop firmware

Sony launched Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual a few days back only and now Xperia Z3+ system dump is available from its running Lollipop firmware. On Xperia Z3+ hands-on video it was spotted that Sony introduced many new elements like new Xperia themes, wallpapers, boot animations etc.

Keep in mind that system dump is not a ftf file so it can’t be installed on any Xperia device. Apps taken just out of the system dump can’t be installed on non-rooted devices unless they are ported.

Today we shared official Xperia Z4 Boot Animation and Xperia Home launcher from Xperia Z3+ and now official Xperia wallpapers from Xperia Z4/Z3+ are available for download. Sony introduced new material design wallpapers on Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3 Plus.

There are 9 Xperia wallpapers in aqua, blue, black, copper, green, orange, purple, red and white color of 2160×1920 resolution, you have to crop them if you want to use them as lockscreen wallpaper.

Official Xperia Z4/Z3+ boot animation for Lollipop Devices

We are sharing today official Xperia Z4 boot animation which is same as on Xperia Z3+. Sony didn’t update its boot animation on Lollipop update but now they are using a blue aqua colored boot animation.

You need rooted Xperia device with custom recovery to install the boot animation. The Below posted file is for 1080p resolution Android devices only.

Download Xperia Z4/Z3+ boot animation zip file from the below link and flash it in recovery. Do take a backup of your original boot animation before flashing it.

Install Xperia Z4 & Z3+ Home 8.1.A.0.4 app with Auto Rotation and Change Icon Size Feature

Sony recently rolled Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z and we saw that Xperia Home now supports auto-rotation (Home 8.1.A.0.2) but the same feature with change icon size was spotted on Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ and it has been ported now.

Now Xperia Z4 & Z3+ Home 8.1.A.0.4 app with Auto Rotation and Change Icon size feature is available for download on rooted Xperia devices running Android Lollipop.

Xperia Home App

Xperia Home 8.1.A.0.4 app is only for rooted devices, it will not install on non-rooted devices. Non-rooted users can install Xperia Home 8.1.A.0.1 version without the auto rotation feature.

Download Xperia Home 8.1.A.0.4 apk from below link.

NOTE: It seems many users are not able to install if it is so, then try it with SuperUser Mod or Xperia Xposed module.
