A few days back Sony rolled Android 6.0 Marshmallow Concept build for Xperia Z3 series smarpthone users and recently MRA58K.Z1.2085 concept build was released which added tap to wake up feature in the respective handset.

Xperia Home 10.0.A.0.2 app from Marshmallow Concept build (2099 from Xperia Z3) has been extracted and is available for install.

Sony What’s New app got a new update in the form of 3.3.A.0.1 version over the older 3.3.A.0.0 version. New update allows you to switch between white and black themes (What’s New app 3.3.A.0.0 updated brought full white theme to the UI).

What’s New app 3.3.A.0.1 update is available as OTA, size 5.3 MB. Check under settings option to switch the themes in the app.

Sony Video app version 9.4.A.1.6 update rolled

Sony Video app has been updated to new 9.4.A.1.6 version over the older beta 9.3.A.0.2 version. New update adds screen rotation button on the player.

Sony introduced some new features in the Video app (first spotted in 9.2.A.0.6 version) like swipe down to shrink the video player with playback ongoing; swipe up to maximize it again and swipe left to dismiss the video.

Sony launched Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium (dual variants) in India a few days back and now Xperia Z5 Premium Dual is available for pre-order from Flipkart for Rs 59990/$924 (Rs 3000 less than what it is priced officially by Sony).

Xperia Z5 Premium Dual is available only in Chrome and Gold color in India, somehow Sony didn’t launch white version of the handset.

Sony has launched Xperia Hotel Transylvania 2 Murray Theme on Play Store in regards for promoting upcoming movie Hotel Transylvania 2 . Sony has earlier launched Xperia Hotel Transylvania 2 and Xperia Hotel Transylvania 2 Dracula Theme on Play Store.

Murray is the “Mummy” character in the movie. It is a premium theme, priced at $1.06/INR 69 and available from Play Store directly.

23.4.A.1.236 firmware certified for Xperia Z3, Z2 series

A new 23.4.A.1.236 firmware has been certified on PTCRB for both Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series. At present both devices are running Android 5.1.1 23.4.A.1.232 firmware.

23.4.A.1.236 firmware has been confirmed (certified) for Xperia Z3 D6603 and Xperia Z2 D6503 on PTCRB. It will be a minor bugs fixing update.

Sony Smartband app has got a new update in the form of 1.7.0.873 version over the older 1.6.0.811 (and 1.6.0.779) version. New update is only a bug fixing update over the previous version.

Yesterday Sony Mobile launched Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium in India at a press conference in New Delhi. Xperia Z5 Premium Dual has been priced at Rs 62990/$969. Sony launched only gold and chrome color version in Indian market.

Sony will be bundling quick charger UCH10 with Xperia Z5 Premium Dual out of the box. It will be available for purchase from 7 November. Sony Mobile officially launched Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium Dual in India today at a press conference in New Delhi. Xperia Z5 Dual has been priced at Rs 52990/$813 and will be available in graphite black, gold, and green color. Sony will be bundling quick charger UCH10 with Xperia Z5 Dual out of the box.

What we missed is Xperia Z5 Compact, which was released in many regions around the world. Both Xperia Z5 (E6683) and Xperia Z5 Premium (E6883) will be available in dual-SIM model. Xperia Z5 Dual will be available from 23 October for purchase from online retailers as well as from official Sony Xperia stores.
