Sony Lifelog app has got a new beta update in the form of 2.8.B.0.6 version over stable older 2.6.A.0.16/10 version (and over beta 2.7.B.0.12 version). Lifelog 2.8.B.0.6 app update will show your comparison of steps taken this week, compared to the last week.

Sony Lifelog app team has updated that soon they are going to release cards showing the average amount of hours you sleep vs the hours other users sleep.

Sony Video 9.2.A.0.6 app updated – Shrinking video player option added

Sony Video app has been updated to newer 9.2.A.0.6 version over the older 9.1.A.0.8 version. Sony Video 9.2.A.0.6 app update brings some cool features like swipe down to shrink the video player with playback ongoing; swipe up to maximize it again and swipe left to dismiss the video.

If you by any chance interrupt the video playback by pressing home key, just tap the Video app icon on home screen or app screen to activate the player directly and resume your video.

Xperia T3 Lollipop update coming soon in coming weeks

In a tweet made to Sony France, their Twitter account handler said that Sony has planned to launch Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia T3 in the following weeks. Though no definite time period has been given except “coming soon in following weeks“.

Sony has already updated its whole Xperia “Z” series on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update along with Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 and now those handset users are waiting for Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to arrive (remember Android 5.1.1 running on Xperia Z3 video has already been leaked).

Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update is now finally rolling on Xperia Tablet Z in the form of 10.6.A.0.454 build. Same build has also been spotted on Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR. Sony has now finally updated its 2-year-old Xperia “Z” series to Lollipop update.

10.6.A.0.454 firmware is confirmed rolling on Xperia Tablet Z SGP311 in Taiwan, on SGP321 in Hong Kong and on SGP351 in USA region (not spotted on SGP312 yet ).

Sony Smart Tennis Sensor SSE-TN1W priced at $200 in USA

Sony Smart Tennis sensor is now finally available in the USA at a price tag of $200 from Sony official online store. Using Sony Smart Tennis sensor and the compatible app you can view real-time data like ball impact spot, ball spin, ball speed, and swing speed etc.

Sony Smart Tennis Sensor has been approved by the International Tennis Federation so it can used in all noted competitions. Sony partnered with Wilson, HEAD, Prince, and YONEX to build the perfect sensor that can be fitted inside the racket. The Sensor is removable and can be easily fitted inside the racket, it lasts for around 90 minutes (on a full charge continuous usage with Bluetooth and 180 minutes without Bluetooth).

Sony Smart Tennis Sensor is to be paired with Bluetooth powered Android/iOS smartphones to view the real-time data (both recorded data and the video, displaying spots on the racket where the ball makes contact). Check the official listing here.

T-Mobile Lollipop update in testing for Xperia Z3 & Z1s in USA

Android Lollipop 5.0.2 update for T-Mobile Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z1s users in USA is very near now as T-Mobile has officially confirmed that the Lollipop update is in testing process now, at this stage device will undergo T-Mobile certification process.

A few days we back we saw Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 23.1.C.0.385 & 23.1.C.0.381 firmware getting certified for Xperia Z3 D6616 and for Xperia Z1s C6916 14.5.B.0.228, 14.5.B.0.220, and 14.5.B.0.236 firmware got certified on PTCRB.

T-Mobile USA testing Lollipop update

Check out the Android 5.0 “Lollipop” testing notification from T-Mobile for Xperia Z3 below (at present on KitKat 23.0.D.1.123 build).

Check out the Android 5.0 “Lollipop” testing notification from T-Mobile for Xperia Z1s below (at present on KitKat 14.4.B.0.56 build).

As per T-Mobile, Lollipop update for Xperia Z3 is scheduled for May 2015 rollout.

Sony has updated its Live on YouTube app to new 01.00.47 version over older 01.00.41 version. Live on YouTube by Xperia app 01.00.47 update brings support for Android Lollipop firmware. It is Sony’s official app to broadcast live videos on YouTube.

New list of supported Xperia devices by this app is Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, ZL2, Z2 Tablet, Z2, Z1 Compact, Z1, Z, Tablet Z, Z Ultra, ZL, ZQ, ZR. Now you can broadcast your videos in HD and full HD and broadcast duration has been increased to 60 minutes.
