How to root Xiaomi Mi3 Indian Version

Xiaomi released it’s 2013 flagship in India on 29th July, 2014 with refreshed hardware. It has tied up with flipkart for the sales. Although, Xiaomi is a chinese manufacturer, it is getting a huge response in India. For those people who were lucky enough to buy that phone, here is the tutorial on how to root Xiaomi Mi3 India Version.

Below posted method will replace your stock recovery with CWM recovery and will root your device. Kindly make sure that rooting voids warranty so proceed if you are willing to do so.

Root Xiaomi Mi3

Download below mentioned two files:

  • Put these files in your phone’s internal memory

  • Now, open updater app.
  • Press menu button and choose ‘select update package’

How to root Xiaomi Mi3

  • Choose update.zip that you copied

Steps to root Xiaomi Mi3

  • Process will take about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • phone will ask you to reboot.
  • select reboot now.
  • Now, turn off your phone and open recovery ( Press volume+ and power button simultaneously )
  • Now select choose zip from sd card/0, choose “Root CWM flashable.zip” and select yes.

Voila!! You have root access now. You can now use any root app.

Xiaomi Mi 3 priced in India at Rs 14999 – 15 July, pre-registrations starts

Today, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone, claimed to be the fastest Xiaomi smartphone ever for Rs 14999 in India ( i.e. $251). It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8274AB 2.3GHz processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB  RAM. On the top of it, there is a well known user interface known as ‘MIUI’ which is really snappy!

Mi 3 is 8.1mm thin, 145 grams light, and houses an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame, coated with 3 layers of thermal graphite.It features Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) and NFC. It takes amazing photos in low light with a super-large Exmor sensor and an ƒ/2.2 aperture. The built-in Phillips dual-LED quickly adds the perfect lighting making subjects beautiful.

Sony has released an infographic depicting the history of selfies with the launch of the world’s first selfie smartphone! Sony has announced the Xperia C3 and Xperia C3 Dual. Sony’s Xperia C3 will come with Google Android 4.4 (KITKAT), Snapdragon 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor,an 8  MP camera with auto focus, 2500 mAh battery, 5.5″ HD (1280×720), and a 5MP 720p wide-angle (25mm with 80 degree field of view) front camera lens (with Superior Auto mode) with a soft LED flash. Photos can be taken by double tapping the back cover or using Smile Shutter.

LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live available in India on Play store for sale

Google introduced the final version of Android Wear at Google I/O 2014. The company showed off the new software on the LG G Watch. As per Google’s survey, people check their smartphones an average of 125 times a day. They claimed that smartwatches can let you access notifications without having to find your phone.

Google announced the first three Android Wear devices during the keynote. The LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live smartwatch and Moto 360. All three smartwatches were used during the demos of Android Wear. About 2 days after launch, two of them are now available to buy through Google’s play store and now they are also available in Indian Google Play Store.
