DuPont brings wireless charging solutions for mobile society

DuPont needs no introduction. DuPont Corian® solid surfaces which are often used for countertops/worktops installed in various places ranging from home to public spaces will now be able to charge your smartphones, tablets etc. wirelessly.

DuPont teamed up with Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) and Power Matters Alliance (PMA) to bring wireless charging integration into DuPont Corian® solid surface material, eliminating the need of so called cables and USB chargers.

Your smart device has a wireless charging receiver either inbuilt or externally attached (Qi enabled) which receives energy from a transmitter under DuPont Corian® Charging Surface and it is used to charge your device. DuPont Corian® Charging Surface is both Qi and PMA compatible (for residential applications) so that a number of devices can be charged wirelessly and not only those which are Qi-enabled only.

If a device uses external Qi charging case then connect it and put the device on the charging spot (indicated on the surface itself) and power up. It comes with a microUSB port which is used to upgrade the firmware installed (whenever an update is available) to modify the charging solutions as the technology changes.
