Xperia Z2 23.2.A.1.62 firmware update rolling

Xperia Z2 23.2.A.1.62 firmware update is now rolling but only on limited carriers like T-Mobile AT, Telekom.de, Cosmote in regions like Austria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Netherlands, Poland, and Slovak Republic. This build has already been rolled on Xperia “Z3” series.

23.2.A.1.62 firmware was certified for both Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet and now also rolling on Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP521 on the same carriers. It is not clear for the time being whether this update will hit global variants of Xperia Z2 series or not.

Android Lollipop 5.0.2 update for T-Mobile Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z1s users in USA is very near now as T-Mobile has officially confirmed that the Lollipop update is in testing process now, at this stage device will undergo T-Mobile certification process.

A few days we back we saw Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 23.1.C.0.385 & 23.1.C.0.381 firmware getting certified for Xperia Z3 D6616 and for Xperia Z1s C6916 14.5.B.0.228, 14.5.B.0.220, and 14.5.B.0.236 firmware got certified on PTCRB.

23.1.C.0.385 Lollipop firmware certified for T-Mobile Xperia Z3 again

A few days back, the very first Android 5.0.2 Lollipop build was certified for T-Mobile Xperia Z3 in the form of 23.1.C.0.381 build and now another 23.1.C.0.385 build has been certified on PTCRB. As happened earlier sony certified more than one Lollipop build before rolling out the final one, so this can be the final firmware.

23.1.C.0.385 firmware is certified for Xperia Z3 D6616 and is exclusively for T-Mobile USA variant of Xperia Z3. Sony has already updated global variants of Xperia Z3 on Android Lollipop in mid-April.

A good news for Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z users that Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 10.6.A.0.454 firmware has finally been certified on PTCRB today. A few days back we saw an alleged screenshot running Lollipop on Xperia Z showing a build starting from 10.6 firmware.

10.6.A.0.454 firmware has been certified for all the variants of Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z and we expect it to come soon. Though earlier we saw number of Lollipop firmware getting certified before an actual one rolled for Xperia Z2 series and Xperia Z3 series.

A few days back news came that Android Lollipop update will soon be coming on T-Mobile Xperia Z3 and now Lollipop 23.1.C.0.381 firmware has been certified on PTCRB. Recently Lollipop firmware for T-Mobile Xperia Z1s was also certified.

23.1.C.0.381 firmware if rolled will bring Android 5.0.2 Lollipop version on T-Mobile Xperia Z3 D6616 in USA. Sony has already updated global variants of Xperia Z3 to Lollipop in mid-April.

Another Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 14.5.B.0.236 firmware has been certified for T-Mobile Xperia Z1s (USA variant of Xperia Z1) on PTCRB recently. This is the third Lollipop firmware which has been certified till now, other two ones were 14.5.B.0.228 & 14.5.B.0.220 firmware.

Sony Mobile has officially confirmed that a new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in the form of 23.1.A.1.28 firmware is now rolling globally for Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet.

23.1.A.1.28 firmware was first spotted rolling for Xperia Z2 yesterday which brought new recent app close button and Sony has officially posted a detailed changelog of 23.1.A.1.28 firmware.

Official Changelog of 23.1.A.1.28 firmware update for Xperia “Z2” & Xperia “Z3” series

Besides software improvement and enhancement, following features are included in the 23.1.A.1.28 firmware update:

Ensured the lock screen/notification bar doesn’t indicate “no service” when the device has coverage
Added a Sony feature; bringing back the “close-all-button” in the activity menu, so you can easily close all apps at once
Unblocked devices with server policies (such as Exchange Active Sync for e-mail), to enable the new Lollipop lock-screen notifications
Ensured the LED light is lit across all sound modes – and no longer offset by “silent”
Made the necessary fixes to enable the easy movement of content from internal memory to external microSD card (something we saw affecting a few devices)
Improved messaging functionality in Ultra stamina mode – some conversations could not be opened before in Ultra stamina mode
