Android M supports Multi-Window Mode – Keep Multiple activities on screen at the same time

Google announced Android M yesterday at Google I/O 2015 and developer preview images have already been shared for selected Nexus Devices. It was found that Android M supports dark theme system UI along with the light theme and now another very interesting striking feature has been discovered.

Android M supports “Mult-Window Mode”, yes exactly like we saw “dual window mode” in LG G4. Under developer options, there is an option “Multi-Window mode”, activating which you can keep multiple activities on screen at the same time.

After activating multi-window mode on Android M, select the task layout and then from “recent apps” button tap on the “icon” visible on the name bar of every app opened to set 2 apps/settings in multi-window mode.

Check out the Android M Multi-Window mode preview below.

Android M has Dark System Theme UI option to opt

Google has officially announced Android M today at Google I/O 2015 and developer preview images for a few selected Nexus devices are available now. A striking feature which has been noticed so far that Android M allows you to opt for “Dark System Theme UI“.

Under the “Developer options” there is an option “theme” which allows you to choose the system UI theme from following options “dark, light, automatic”. If chosen “automatic” theme option then it might change the theme accordingly to some “variable” like timings of day or light etc. (not known yet).

Dark Theme option is just like an option present in Google Keyboard. Android Lollipop presented a white system-wide UI and with this system theme selecting feature in Android M, AMOLED display device users will be happy.

We will soon have a discussion on which Xperia devices will probably get Android M update in future, so stay tuned.
