Sony D6653 Xperia Z3 about phone screenshot leaked with S801 processor

A couple of days back we saw Sony D6653 getting certified on Indonesian Postel where we assumed it as one of the new high end devices and now it seems the speculation has come true. Sony D6653 about phone screen shot has leaked confirming it featuring MSM8974AC Pro Snapdragon 801 processor ( possibly be 2.5 GHz quad core ).

Sony D6653 is speculated as Xperia Z3 seeing at the same time within last 24 hours confirmation has come on the existence of Xperia Z3 Compact D580X with an about phone screenshot featuring the same Snapdragon processor model. Seeing at screenshot and processor, Xperia Z3 is tipped to feature a 1080p screen rather than QHD which was expected.

Sony D6653 Xperia Z3 is spotted running android 4.4.4 version with 23.1.x.x.xxx firmware while Xperia Z3 Compact was spotted running android 4.4.2 version with 23.0.x.x.xxx firmware ( Notice the similarity between firmware versions ).

Sony D6653 spotted on Indonesian Postel – New flagship model ?

A few days back we spotted Sony D2502 and Sony D2533 on Indonesian Postel and now a new model Sony D6653 is spotted dated today. Sony D6653 resembles to Sony D6563 which is Sony Xperia Z2a Taiwan model. Sony D6653 seems purely a new Xperia model so far if we look at model’s naming convention.

Sony D6653 seems a high end Xperia model to us, probability of it being Xperia Z3 is very less and being Xperia Z2 Ultra is not in option for the time being. Last year we saw Sony launching Xperia Z Ultra in June and this year Xperia T3 came. We are not expecting any more flagship device from Sony till September.
