Xperia T3 Lollipop update coming soon in coming weeks

In a tweet made to Sony France, their Twitter account handler said that Sony has planned to launch Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia T3 in the following weeks. Though no definite time period has been given except “coming soon in following weeks“.

Sony has already updated its whole Xperia “Z” series on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update along with Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 and now those handset users are waiting for Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to arrive (remember Android 5.1.1 running on Xperia Z3 video has already been leaked).

Xperia T3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat 18.1.A.2.25 firmware update rolling

Surprisingly Sony has rolled Android 4.4.4 KiKtat 18.1.A.2.25 firmware update for Xperia T3 today. Update is confirmed in regions like India, Russia on both LTE and HSPA+ model.

18.1.A.2.25 firmware update brings no major changes in firmware for Xperia T3 ( now new features are seen ) except the Bluetooth Unlock feature and a more stable ROM now whereas on Android 4.4.4 update on Xperia Z2 Sony gave almost a similar UI like Xperia Z3.

Xperia T3 D5103 18.1.A.1.23 firmware certified

All the fellow Xperia T3 users are informed that a new firmware 18.1.a.1.23 has been certified by PTCRB for D5103 recently. Android version remains the same, only change is in the build no and slight improvements from previous firmware i.e 18.1.a.1.21 are expected. It may roll in certain regions only ( can be a carrier update also though not certified for other variants of device ).

At present Xperia T3 enjoys android 4.4.2 18.1.A.1.21, 18.2.A.1.18 firmware build. Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet are also on android 4.4.2 version for the time being though Sony has updated Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra to android 4.4.4 and Xperia T2 Ultra to android 4.4.3.

New firmwares i.e 18.1.A.1.21, 18.2.A.1.18 firmware have been certified for Xperia T3 on PTCRB, both updates are minor udpates looking at their build keeping Xperia T3 on Android 4.4.2. Both LTE and HSPA+ variant of Xperia T3 have got new firmware certification.

Xperia T3 18.1.A.1.21 firmware is certified for D5103, D5106 LTE variant of device, moving it from present 18.1.A.1.17 firmware build. 18.2.A.1.18 firmware is certified for Xperia T3 D5102 / M50w HSPA+ variant.

Xperia T3 launched in India for Rs 27990, available from 28 July

Sony Mobile launched Xperia T3 in India, New Delhi today at price Rs 27990 i.e $466 to be made available from 28 July at all leading Sony and Electronics store. Xperia T3 features Snapdragon 400 1.4 GHz quad core processor packed in 7 mm thin aluminium frame. Xperia T3 has 5.3″ 720p HD display, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 8 MP rear cam and 1.1 MP front cam.

Sony has launched as usual 3G variant of Xperia T3 in India. Looking at many competitors in market like HTC Desire 816, Xiaomi Mi 3, Asus Zenfone 6; Sony has over priced Xperia T3 if we consider a Snapdragon 400 powered device.

Xperia T3 M50w images spotted at China’s TENAA – Network License Passed

A few days back Sony unveiled Xperia T3, 7mm slim device with 720p HD display, 1.4 GHz S 400 quad core processor chipset, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 8 MP rear cam, 1.1 MP front cam, 2500 mAh embedded non-removable battery, weighing 148 grams. Stainless steel frame is used in Xperia T3 for the first time by Sony.

It seems now Xperia T3 M50w will be heading to Chinese market also very soon. Xperia T3 M50w images have been spotted at TENAA which is taken as Chinese FCC form ( network license also passed ). Xperia T3 global variant is expected to hit market next month, price of Xperia T3 is expected to be around price of Xperia T2 Ultra Dual.
