Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update is now finally rolling on Xperia Tablet Z in the form of 10.6.A.0.454 build. Same build has also been spotted on Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR. Sony has now finally updated its 2-year-old Xperia “Z” series to Lollipop update.

10.6.A.0.454 firmware is confirmed rolling on Xperia Tablet Z SGP311 in Taiwan, on SGP321 in Hong Kong and on SGP351 in USA region (not spotted on SGP312 yet ).

Sony releases Android 4.4.1 AOSAP binaries for Xperia L,S,Z,ZL,Tablet Z

Officially it might take very long to get android 4.4 KitKat update on already mentioned Xperia devices from Sony but Xperia devices have recently got love from many developers. XDA devs have contributed for almost every Xperia device to get unofficially CyanogenMod 11 Android 4.4 KitKat build on them even the 2011 Xperia devices have got it.

In past Sony has released AOSP binaries for Xperia Z, ZL and Tablet Z and now Xperia L and Xperia S have been added to the list. Yes Sony has officially released Android 4.4 AOSAP binaries for Xperia L, S , Z, ZL, Tablet Z. Build available is KRT16O.S3.1044 ( android 4.4 KitKat ).

Most awaited news from Sony Mobile has just came up about android 4.4 KitKat update on Xperia devices, it is now CONFIRMED that Android 4.4 KitKat for Xperia Z, ZL, Z Ultra, Z1, Tablet Z will come very soon thought it is not expected this year obviously due to scheduling of android 4.3 update in December.

Sony Mobile as announced on their official blog that Xperia Z, ZL, Z Ultra, Z1, Tablet Z will be getting android 4.4 KitKat updates in future though no ETA has be given yet. Strange to see that Xperia ZR has not been named yet, may be they will do in future or they won’t it still remains a mystery.

Well just now we have spotted that Sony has officially launched Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.C.0.136 firmware update for Wi-Fi Xperia Tablet Z SGP311 / SGP312 version.

Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.C.0.136 firmware, huge 786MB update is confirmed in UK, France and it is a major update over previous 10.1.C.0.370 firmware and is available over PC Companion, SUS and Bridge. 10.3.1.C.0.136 firmware is still seeding and soon you will get it rest part of world also. As promised by Sony, Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.0.244 firmware update for Xperia Tablet Z SGP321, European LTE version has been rolled just now. In past one week we have seen same Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.0.244 firmware update being also rolled on Xperia Z, ZL and ZR, Sony has stuck to same build number for all android 4.2.2 updates, don’t know why.

Update confirmed in Indonesia (Bandunga), Germany and Spain 🙂
