Install Xperia Z2 4K video cam app and TimeShift Video app port

As you all know Xperia Z2 apps and features have been ported to many Xperia Smartphones so far and now comes the most interesting port in form of Xperia Z2 4K video cam app and TimeShift video app. Xperia Z2 TimeShift Video app allows you to record video at 120 fps and then you can slow any part of video and Xperia Z2 4K video cam app allows you to record videos at 4K resolution exclusively.

Till now these ports have been successful Xperia Z2 Smart call handling feature port, Xperia Z2 Camera apps Addons port – Creative Effects, AR Effect 2.0.4 , Background Defocus 1.1.7, TimeShift Video port and Xperia Z2 KitKat Media apps viz. Movies 6.1.A.0.4 and Walkman 8.1.A.0.4 app port,  Xperia Z2 Phone Answering Machine port and Xperia Z2 What’s New, Movie Creator, Sony Podcast, Simple Home apps port, Xperia Z2 Message, Clock, Email, Calendar app port, Xperia Z2 Walkman Music Widget port, Xperia Z2 Home 6.2.1.A.0.1 Android 4.4.2 KitKat launcher port, Xperia Z2 KitKat Notes 1.0.4.A.1 and Sketch 1.0.A.4.2 App port and Xperia Z2 Media Sounds and Camera Click Sounds from KitKat port.

Xperia Z2 4K Cam app and TimeShift Video port

XDA dev xperiaz2 ( Ash Cyrus ) has successfully ported 4K video cam and TimeShift Video app. You must have Sony Social Camera app installed on your Xperia smartphones, must be rooted and must have CWM recovery installed.

[ UPDATE – 13 March ] Creative Effect 1.0, Timeshift Video from 17.1.A.1.2 firmware, Install it.

UPDATE :-  Just Install below mentioned two files and all should work fine 🙂 Confirmed working on Xperia ZR, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z1.

All below apks and files have been successfully working on “DeOdexed ROMS”. So Deodex your ROM before trying them.

Download newSuperVideoCamera.apk 

After downloading above Xperia SuperVideoCamera apk, push in system/app folder, set permissions and reboot.

Copy the libs file from below zip file to system/lib

Download SuperVideoCameraLibs.zip 

For Xperia Z / ZL users – Copy libtimeshiftnative.so in system/lib folder and install below SomcMovieCreator.apk

Install Xperia Z2 Camera apps port – Creative Effects, AR Effect 2.0.4 , Background Defocus 1.1.7

Xperia Z2 has been announced officially and just a few days after its launch we saw Xperia Z2 System Dump from 17.1.A.0.289 firmware Android 4.4.2 KitKat getting leaked and at the very same moment developers started porting apps from Xperia Z2 System Dump to other Xperia smartphones. We have already seen Xperia Z2 Smart call handling feature getting ported on Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and for some users it worked on other handsets like Xperia SP and Xperia Z also.

Just now XDA dev xperiaz2 has made Xperia Z2 Social Camera apps Addons port for many Xperia smartphones. It includes apps viz. Creative Effects, AR Effect 2.0.4 , Background Defocus 1.1.7. Some works on rooted handsets and some work on non rooted handsets so you need to have CWM to install below port. If ROM is deodexed it would be great.

How to Install Install Xperia Z2 Camera apps Addons

To install given below mentioned apps, you must have Xperia Social Camera app on your device. It can be installed on devices like Xperia Z, Z1, Z Ultra,V,TX, SP, M, L, ZR etc.

Back up your default apps in case you are replacing any with the modded ones.

#For Non-Rooted Handsets

Background Defocus 1.1.7 – At present Background Defocus 1.1.6 app is available on Xperia Z1S and a slight higher version is seen on Xperia Z2.
