Xperia Z3+ launched in India for Rs 55990

Sony Mobile launched Xperia Z3+ in India today at a press conference in New Delhi. Xperia Z3+ has been priced at Rs 55990/$881 and will be available in white, black, copper, and aqua green color starting from today at all leading Sony Xperia stores.

Sony is giving away Quick Charger UCH10 (worth Rs 3490) within the box of Xperia Z3+. Sony claims Xperia Z3+ can go for 5.5 hours with just 10 minutes of charging with quick charger supplied along with it. A month back on 26 May, Sony India launched Xperia C4 Dual and Xperia M4 Aqua in India at a price of Rs 29490 and Rs 24990 respectively.

Xperia Z3+ launched in India

Xperia Z3+ weighs 144 grams and is 6.9mm thin with 5.2″ FHD Display (1920 x 1080 resolution, no 2K) packed in an aluminum frame with glass back. Xperia Z3+ features 2930 mAh battery (which is less as compared to Xperia Z3 & Xperia Z2).

Xperia Z3+ comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box (5.0.2). Xperia Z3+ is IP65/68 certified (with capless USB port). In terms of design, Xperia Z3+ is a combination of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 but slimmer, lighter, and powerful.

28.0.A.7.27 & 28.0.A.7.24 firmware certified for Xperia Z3+ & Xperia Z4 Tablet

A few days back we saw 28.0.A.6.8 firmware certification for Xperia Z3+ & Xperia Z4 Tablet on PTCRB and now two firmware updates in the form of 28.0.A.7.24 & 28.0.A.7.27 build have been certified for both devices.

28.0.A.7.27 firmware is expected to hit both devices as when they are available for purchase/launched in markets. At present 28.0.A.4.8 firmware and 28.0.A.7.5 firmware build is available for download from XperiFirm tool.

Sony flaunts Xperia Z3+ Camera features in a promo video

Sony Mobile has launched a new video promo flaunting Xperia Z3+ camera features. Xperia Z3+ features 20.7 MP (5248 х 3936 pixels resolution, 25 mm wide-angle G Lens), 1/2.3″ size sensor (ISO 12800). It features 5.1 MP front camera (25mm wide-angle).

Xperia Z3+ has new camera add-ons like “Style Portrait” app to add various effects to you captured pics. Earlier today Sony launched three new Style Portrait app effects.

Sony’s new Xperia Z3+ is not only slimmer, lighter, and faster as compared to Xperia Z3 but it also have improved touchscreen drivers from Sony. Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3 both features same 1080p resolution FHD IPS LCD display with X-Reality Mobile.

In a wet touchscreen test done between Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3+ showed great improvement in terms of tracking movement on the screen.

28.0.A.6.8 firmware certified for Xperia Z3+ & Xperia Z4 Tablet

Sony recently unveiled Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual and it is expected to hit markets in mid-June this year, earlier Sony launched Xperia Z4 exclusively for Japan. Now the first firmware certification for Xperia Z3+ has come.

Same 28.0.A.6.8 firmware has been certified for both Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 Tablet which definitely means that Sony is gearing up for Xperia Z3+ launch in the markets.

It has been long now since Xperia Z3+ system dump was made available for download and Xperia Z3+ system apps got ported for Xperia devices running Lollipop. The latest Xperia Z3+ app which is now available is Sony PlayStation Network app for connecting to PS Music and PlayStation.
