Customized Xperia Lollipop Boot animation for 720p, 1080p resolution devices

Sony recently rolled Android Lollipop 5.0.2 update on Xperia devices, but the boot animation remained same as it was on KitKat. If you are looking for a dedicated Xperia Lollipop boot animation for your device, then we are sharing one today.

You need rooted Xperia device (preferably with 720p or 1080p screen resolution) to install the below-posted boot animation. To root the latest Lollipop firmware on Xperia Z, follow this tutorial.

Download the concerned boot animation file as per your device’s screen resolution.

For 720p resolution devices

Download Lollipop720p.zip

For 1080p resolution devices

Download Lollipop1080p.zip

How to Install?

• Download above posted zip files. After downloading, rename them to “bootanimation.zip”.
• Navigate to system/media folder.

NOTE: Take a backup of your old bootanimation.zip file.

• Now set permissions rw- r– r– on downloaded bootanimation.zip file and replace it with the old bootanimation.zip file present in system/media folder. (In case you are new to this process, follow this tutorial on how to push apps in system/media folder and set correct permissions.)
• Reboot your device.
